#MillionsMissing Visibility Action: Vancouver, Canada

#MillionsMissing is a global campaign for ME health equality. Help us make noise on May 12th, 2019 by joining our Visibility Action in Vancouver!

Wear red for solidarity! Print out ME awareness signs, if you can.

If you can’t come in person, ask a friend or family member to represent you—or you can be there in spirit by sending us a short biography of your journey with ME, and what you’re missing out on in life. Let us know if we can use your full name, or just your first name, or whatever you choose. Attendees will read their own and others’ biographies aloud at the rally.

We will be reading the proclamation from the City of Vancouver declaring May 12, 2019 to be Myalgic Encephalomyelitis Awareness Day.

We will also have a roving “photo booth” and will ask passers by to take their photo in it and send it out on social media, to show their support for ME awareness, funding, and treatment.

The event is being held on the art gallery plaza. The site is wheelchair accessible. Please bring chairs or whatever you need to be comfortable. There are a few metal tables and chairs on the plaza. Parking is available underneath the courthouse—once inside, keep driving (you’ll drive for approx 2 blocks underground!), following the signs for Vancouver Art Gallery. There are some disabled parking stalls right near the elevator. Washrooms are available to the public inside the gallery (you don’t have to pay entrance fee to use them). Please let us know if you have any questions.
