#MillionsMissing Visibility Action: Massachusetts
Join us on Saturday, May 11 at 1pm for the annual Boston #MillionsMissing Visibility Action, co-sponsored by the Massachusetts ME/CFS & FM Association and #MEAction. We will meet on Boston Common to raise public awareness and make our voices heard! Specifically, we will be on Liberty Mall which is the grassy area that stretches from the War Memorial near the State House toward Brewer Fountain near Park Street Station. Speakers/performance will begin at 1:30.
Ways to participate:
We are encouraging all participants to wear #MillionsMissing or other ME-related T-shirts, which can be purchased here: https://millionsmissing-official.myshopify.com/ If a new shirt isn’t in your budget, no worries, just wear red.
**Bring a pair of shoes!**
The #MillionsMissing movement uses shoes to symbolize people with ME missing from activities they once loved. Display your shoes with personalized message such as “I am missing from the dance studio,” or “Josh is missing from the basketball court.”
**Bring posters! **
You can get a personalized poster design here http://chronicallyhopeful.com/get-your-own-personalised-millions-missing-poster-for-me-awareness-month/ (once created, you will need to print the pdf yourself).
MEAction also has some great poster pdfs here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B6UlcglLsyp7YnFZQ092R25zcUk
Or just grab some poster board and get creative!
**Bring your friends!**
The more of us there are, the harder we are to ignore. Tell your friends and share this event on social media.
**Take care of yourself!**
Organizers will have a few spare folding chairs and yoga mats, but be sure to bring anything you need to stay healthy and comfortable such as a camping chair, ear plugs, eye mask, water, snacks, etc.
Public Transportation: Closest to Park Street Station. About 10 minute walk from Downtown Crossing.
